Samsung Display is expected to expand its existing 30K monthly QD-OLED Capa. to 45K monthly by 2024. In addition, from 2023, it plans to further expand its lineup by mass-producing 49-inch and 77-inch panels in addition to 55-inch and 65-inch panels.

Samsung seems to be on track to ramp up production of wafers as expected. The new panels should be more efficient and perform better, with the further upside of giving Samsung a range of options on different screen sizes. LG’s been able to adapt to the changing winds of sales with WOLED being available in different sizes and having a wider range of options. Samsung is playing catch-up to a certain extent.
