Leaked Roadmap Shows Four New Samsung Tablets

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablet

Samsung didn’t show off any new tablets at CES 2015, but a leaked roadmap posted by SamMobile shows that preparations are being made for four new devices to be launched this year.

As well as model numbers, SamMobile has some information on the devices themselves. The Galaxy Tab AS (SM-T351, SM-T350), Galaxy Tab AL (SM-T551, SM-T550), Galaxy Tab AL Plus (SM-P551, SM-P550) and Galaxy Tab AS Plus (SM-P351, SM-P350) will be launched between Q2 and Q4’15.

The Tab AS and Tab AL are said to be successors to the Tab 4 7.0 and Tab 4 10.1, respectively. The Plus versions, meanwhile, are thought to be Galaxy Note devices (which bear the SM-PXXX code string). SamMobile believes that the SM-P350/351 (WiFi/cellular) is a 7″ or 8″ device, while the SM-P550/551 is 10″ or 12″.

In related news, products with the codes SM-T555 and SM-T116 have been spotted on import/export tracking website Zauba; these are expected to refer to the Galaxy Tab 5 7.0 and 10.1 being sent to India for testing.

The Tab 5 10.1 features a 10.1″ display with a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC and Android 5.0, according to rumours. The Tab 5 7.0, meanwhile, is a 7″ unit with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, running Android 4.4. It is expected to cost just $100.
