Samsung’s newest TVs, the 24″ T24D310ES LED and 28″ T28D310ES LED, aim to cover all the ways in which users can receive content: be it broadcast TV, PC or console games, Blu-ray films, an external HDD or streamed via the internet.
The ‘TV monitors’ feature a built-in triple tuner (DVB-T/-C/-S2), to receive terrestrial, cable or satellite programming. They also have an EPG and a picture-in-picture option, so users can view two content sources at once. To support the viewing of sporting content, the products have a special Sport Mode, which optimises picture and sound quality. Sport Mode also divides the screen into nine separate panes: users can zoom in on each of these image sections individually.
Both TVs feature two 5W speakers and HDMI (x2), component, composite, USB and Scart ports, as well as a CI+ slot. The 28″ adds a VGA input. They have 1366 x 768 resolution and use a VA panel, with a 1,200:1 contrast ratio; 178 deg viewing angles; and an 8ms response time. Brightness is 250 cd/m² on the 24″ and 300 cd/m² on the 28″.
Both TVs are available in Germany now, for €175 (24″) and €220 (28″), ex VAT.
