Samsung Display has announced that the OLED display featuring in its Galaxy S8 smartphone recently obtained an Environmental Product Declaration for the use of carbon, water, acidification and eutrophication. The declaration is part of the national certification system that analyses and publicises the effects of companies’ entire manufacturing process on the environment, from material sourcing to production.
The company also received a Carbon Footprint certification, having installed greenhouse gas dissolution equipment in its manufacturing facilities and reused waste water in its factories to improve resource circulation.
