Samsung Raising Orders With External Firms

China’s Economic Daily News claims that Samsung Electronics is seeking to buy panels from Innolux and AUO. This is due to Samsung Display’s closure of a G7 factory this year, which will lower its supply of 40″ – 43″ TV panels. Samsung Electronics will take 40″ panels from Innolux and 43″ panels from AUO, the source says. It is also claimed that Samsung is increasing orders for 55″ UltraHD panels from AUO and Innolux, due to low yields at SDC.
