Samsung Note 8 Pre-Sales Highest Ever for Product Line

Samsung’s forthcoming phablet, the Note 8, is enjoying the highest pre-order figures the product line has ever seen, achieving 650,000 sales in five days, according to Reuters.

Ahead of its release this Friday, the Samsung Note 8 is selling two-and-a-half times faster than its predecessor, the Note 7.

With a retail price starting at $929 in the US, the Note 8 just about manages to undercut Apple’s iPhone X, as well as its September release date giving it more than a month’s head-start in the holiday season premium smartphone battle.

The Samsung Note 8 features a 6.3″ 1440 x 2960 Super AMOLED, HDR10-compliant multi-touch screen with an 83% screen-to-body ratio.

It also includes dual rear-facing 12 megapixel cameras capable of capturing video in 2160p at 30 FPS, 1080p at 60 FPS and 720p at 240 FPS, all in HDR. Its front-facing camera is 8 megapixels and can shoot in 1440p at 30 FPS.
