Samsung In Running for A9 Orders

Both Samsung and TSMC are competing for orders to produce Apple’s A9 SoC, according to reports from Asian media. Samsung was the main producer of Apple chips until a deal was signed with TSMC last year (Display Monitor Vol 20 No 26); the company has apparently offered lower quotes to attract orders. We heard earlier this year (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 30) that a deal had been signed with TSMC to produce the A9 chips.
