Samsung Display brought its “OLED Magic” concept to Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25), showing off its latest innovations in OLED technology. The exhibition put OLED’s color accuracy and display quality front and center, with immersive showcases inspired by Spain’s landmarks.

One of the biggest attractions was the Seamless Color Studio, where visitors saw how OLED technology maintained consistent color expression across smartphones, tablets, laptops, and TVs. A side-by-side demo compared OLED and LCD displays, highlighting the deep blacks and superior color accuracy of OLED screens.

The OLED Tile demonstration turned heads with its ultra-thin bezels, designed to create the illusion of a seamless display. Drawing inspiration from the stained glass of Spain’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral, this setup used ten 6.8-inch bezel-less OLED panels and two 31.5-inch monitors to create a near-borderless viewing experience. Samsung Display also showcased its latest bezel reduction breakthrough, cutting bezel width by 40% compared to standard models.

Foldables and flexible OLEDs were another major focus. The “Voyage to Mañana” exhibition highlighted the portability of OLED foldables, with devices designed for travel. The Flexible Cabinbag was a standout; a versatile 18.1-inch foldable OLED that transformed from a large tablet into a compact briefcase. The Polygon Foldable also made its debut, featuring a 3.38-inch diamond-shaped OLED display, specifically designed for the outer screen of clamshell-style foldable phones.

Samsung Display also introduced its L.E.A.D. initiative, standing for Low power, Eco-friendly, Augmented brightness, and Designed to be thin and slim. A key technology in this lineup was OCF, which eliminated the need for a polarizer, reducing reflections and increasing brightness by about 1.5 times without consuming more power. The exhibition demonstrated OCF’s peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, designed to perform even in extreme lighting conditions.

Gaming displays were a major highlight, with Samsung Display rolling out a 500 Hz QD-OLED monitor, a 240 Hz OLED laptop, and hands-on gaming experiences featuring OLED-equipped devices like the Steam Deck and Razer Blade 16. The show also included a glasses-free 3D gaming demo using Light Field Display (LFD) technology.
