Taiwan-based supply chain makers say that Samsung Display has offered standard AMOLED touch panel solutions for common use, to keep prices down. This, they say, is an attempt to reach Chinaese smartphone vendors. According to sources, prices for a 5″ Full HD in-cell touch panels currently stand at $20 – $23 for an LCD type and $30 for an AMOLED type. However, SDC quotes $24 – $26 for its standard AMOLED touch panels.
