As we forecast in our CES report (No More Plasma for Samsung, But LED is New Category), Samsung has acquired a US-based LED sign and display manufacturer.

Samsung has bought Yesco Electronics for an undisclosed sum, reinforcing the Korean company’s entry into the LED display market. Yesco has more than 2,000 installations across the US and abroad.
