Samsung Electronics’ latest premium projector, The Premiere 8K, has become the first 8K projector to receive certification from the 8K Association (8KA). The certification comes just days after the 8KA launched its New Projector certification program on December 10. The program evaluates projectors across multiple technical specifications, including 7680 x 4320 resolution, brightness, contrast, color gamut, HDR capabilities, 8K upscaling, and audio performance.
First unveiled at CES 2024, The Premiere 8K introduces several innovative features to the home theater market. Most notably, it’s the first projector to offer wireless 8K connectivity. The projector uses ultra-short throw (UST) technology with advanced aspherical mirrors, allowing it to project high-resolution images from a close distance to the wall without requiring ceiling mounting.
The projector boasts 4,500 ISO Lumens of brightness, enabling clear viewing even in well-lit rooms. It also features Sound-on-Screen technology, which combines a top speaker module with specialized software algorithms to create an immersive audio experience that matches the high-quality visuals.
