9to5Mac claims that Apple will launch a high-resolution 21.5″ iMac within the week. ‘Multiple reliable sources’ have told the site that the new model will feature 4096 x 2304 resolution. Separate rumours also suggest a wider colour gamut.
The new iMac is likely to use Intel Broadwell chips, according to code discovered in OS X El Capitan. Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 or AMD Radeon M380 discrete graphics will be installed.
In related news, Japanese website Mac Otakara, as well as 9to5Mac, say that the iPad Pro will be launched in early November.
