Rockwell Collins Inc. reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2018 with net sales of $2.18 billion, an increase of 62.4%, compared to $1.34 billion in Q2 2017. Net income for Q2 2018 was $237 million, an increase of 41%, compared to the net income of $168 million in Q2 2017.
In this quarter, company achieved 8% sales growth in Commercial Systems and Government Systems accounted for 16% sales growth compared to Q2 2017. These results were mainly attributed to higher deliveries of business jet equipment, commercial aftermarket strength and an improved defense budget environment.
