It’s been a long wait – four years since the Kickstarter campaign began! – but the Oculus Rift headset is finally being shipped. Those customers who were able to pre-order the consumer model of the device in January should see them arriving soon.
The news was shared by Oculus VR’s CEO Brendan Iribe, who shared a picture of a boxed-up Rift headset. The device costs $600, and requires a connection to a PC in order to function.
