New data from research firms NPA Conseil and Harris Interactive reveals that an average of 2.2 million people aged 15 and over in France are using an SVoD service every day.
The beginning of June was particularly busy, with 2.6 million SVoD users on average each day between the 4th and 10th of June. This was the second-highest figure of the year so far, second only to the first week of January.
In May, the presence of children in the household seemed to have an impact on the use of SVoD. Households with children were twice as likely to have used a one-day SVoD service on average, compared to households without children — 6.2% versus 3.3%.
The survey also found that SVoD generally compliments other means of TV content consumption, rather than replacing them.
