Renesas Electronics announced its FY16 results with sales of ¥471bn ($4.4 mn) and net profit of ¥44.1bn ($416 mn), resulting in a profit margin of 9.4%. These results included only 9 months results from April 2016 to December 2016 as the company implemented a change of the fiscal term in which the fiscal year-end was changed from Mar. 31 to Dec. 31 starting from the fiscal year 2016.
The last year’s results ending Mar. 31, 2016 indicated sales of ¥693bn ($5.7 mn) and net profit of ¥86.3bn ($713 mn), resulting in a profit margin of 9.6%.
