Activeon of South Korea has announced four new LCD TVs that will be sold under the RCA brand, which it acquired in 2010, in the USA. They will be the first RCA sets with UltraHD resolution and Google’s Android TV. In addition, the range will include the largest RCA TV to date, at 75″.
All sets feature HEVC and VP9 decoding, HDMI ports capable of transferring UltraHD content at 60fps and UltraHD up-conversion. They do not have HDR, but this is planned to be added in the second half of the year. No more details about the plans were shared.
The new TVs are the 50″ XLD50G60RQ ($700); 55″ XLD55G65RQ ($800); 65″ CLD65G65RQ ($1,100) and 75″ CLD75G65RQ ($1,700). All are due to be shipped in April bar the largest model. It will be released later.
