Radiant Vision Systems Introduces ProMetric I16-G-SC for Advanced Color Measurement

Radiant Vision Systems has announced the launch of the ProMetric I16-G-SC, an integrated imaging colorimeter and spectrometer solution designed for precise color measurement. This system combines a 16.1-megapixel imaging colorimeter with a high-end CAS 125 spectroradiometer from Instrument Systems in Germany.

The ProMetric I16-G-SC uses tristimulus color filters aligned with CIE color-matching functions for accurate evaluation of luminance and chromaticity. It features a scientific-grade image sensor with a resolution of 5312 x 3032 pixels, enabling detailed inspection of LCD, OLED, and MicroLED displays. A patented design integrates a polarization-insensitive mirror for redirecting light to the spectrometer via a fiberoptic cable, optimizing speed and measurement accuracy.

The system operates through a centralized software platform that synchronizes spectral and image-based data capture. Users can perform spectral data collection on demand or program automatic spectrum capture during measurements. The system supports in-line color calibration for consistent CIE-compliant accuracy across devices.

The ProMetric I16-G-SC builds on Radiant’s ProMetric I-SC Solution introduced in 2022, offering a more cost-effective option for high-volume manufacturing environments. It is compatible with Radiant’s TrueTest Automated Visual Inspection Software, enabling automated test sequencing for production-level quality control.

Radiant Vision Systems holds US Patent No. 8482652 for the technology behind the ProMetric I16-G-SC. The solution is now available for industrial metrology applications.
