The release of the QHD display AOC Q2790PQU in September will extend AOC’s latest line of business monitors, the 90 Series. With monitors being one of the most important tools of almost any (home) office worker, choosing the right model(s) can have a significant impact on longterm business success. AOC highlights several aspects which should be considered before purchasing the new monitor for work.
Ergonomic options and reduced flicker
Back and neck pain are two of the most common health issues of office workers, which have a significant impact on employee wellbeing. Monitors with ergonomic adjustment options can help employees find a comfortable and healthy posture while working. The AOC 90 Series models I2490PXQU, I2790PQU and Q2790PQU, for example, offer 130 mm height adjustment, -5°/+25° tilt, 165°/+165° swivel and 90° rotation (pivot). They can thus be adapted to each user’s individual working position. Eye fatigue is another common issue faced by office workers. In order to keep the eyes at ease, the Flicker Free technology found in all AOC 90 Series displays changes the screen brightness without Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM), so that flickering is reduced.
Slim bezels for multi-monitor setups
Two or more monitors side-by-side significantly increase productivity, which is why multi-monitor desktop setups have become commonplace in many offices. The added screen real estate lets users browse different applications and files simultaneously without constantly closing, moving or minimising windows. This way, comparing two or more documents side-by-side or working with multiple applications becomes a lot easier. Thanks to the almost invisible bezels on the sides of all 90 Series monitors, these displays offer a seamless multi-monitor experience without annoying interruptions between the screens.
High resolutions
Another key factor for a large screen monitor is resolution: the more pixels a monitor has to offer, the more programs and visual details can be displayed at the same time. Thus, a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is a minimum recommended for every user. Most of the AOC 90 Series models are Full HD monitors. The exception is the upcoming AOC Q2790PQU which boasts an even higher QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Ideal for demanding professionals who will benefit from even more space for video editing, detailed spreadsheets and other applications.
The right size for every user
The physical size of a display is another important factor, which is why IT buyers should pick the right size for each purpose and user. With AOC’s broad portfolio of monitors in different sizes, including the 90 Serieswith 60.5 cm (23.8?) and 68.6 cm (27?) options, every business owner can find the perfect set of monitors for the individual requirements.
Energy efficiency
Saving on energy consumption does not only bring costs down, it is also beneficial to the environment. The 90 Series displays were designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, which is why they come with important certificates such as Energy Star, EPEAT and TCO. Moreover, their E-saver software feature lets the displays switch to a low power profile when the user is away, whereas Eco mode adapts the screen settings to different types of content (text, internet, game, movie, sport) to minimise energy consumption.
