Long-term Samsung partner Praxair, an industrial gas supplier from the US, has signed a new agreement to construct and operate an air separation plant that will supply 700 tonnes of nitrogen per day to Samsung’s Gen 6 flexible OLED plant in Tangjeong, South Korea, the largest of its kind in the world.
The Tangjeong facility is increasing its production capacity this year, to fulfill worldwide market demand. The new air separation plant will be the fourth to support the Tangjeong factory.
Praxair has supplied nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium and other gases to several of Samsung’s facilities over the past 25 years.
