PMA Shows Top-Selling Projectors for August in US

PMA Research has published its latest Projector Tracking Service results from the monthly sell-through data from US projector dealers, retailers, web resellers and distributors.

For the Home Entertainment Projectors group, the top 5 list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of US retailers and web resellers. In this category, Optoma’s HD142X was the best-selling projector in August. BenQ followed with the HT2050 coming in second. Epson rounded out this category with a trio of PowerLite Home Cinema models; the 740HD, the 1040 and the 640 coming in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

For the Mainstream Projectors group, the top 5 is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of US AV and IT distributors. For this group, Epson took all five positions August. Two BrightLink models; the 695Wi and the 685Wi came in first and second, respectively. The PowerLite 97H, VS240 and the PowerLite X27 followed in third, fourth and fifth place.

For the 4,000+ Lumen Projectors group, the top 5 is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of US AV dealers and systems integrators. In this category, the August results showed Sony had the best-selling model with the VPL-PHZ10. Epson followed with PowerLite 2250U, BrightLink 697Ui and PowerLite Pro G7400U, and Optoma came fifth with the EH416.
