PMA Research, the worldwide market information experts on front projectors, has posted their most recent Projector Tracking Service results to the “Top-Selling Projectors” area of their website.
For more than 17 years now, PMA Research has collected monthly sell-through data from leading North American projector dealers, retailers, web resellers and distributors. Their Tracking Service family of monthly reports offers timely data and analysis on unit sales, true volume-weighted street prices, and inventories of front projectors for these channels.
Each month, PMA Research posts their “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5? list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the November results showed Hitachi with the best-selling model – the CP-X5022WN. Epson followed with the PowerLite 1980WU in second place. Sony had a pair of projectors make the November list with the VPL-FHZ65/W and the VPL-FHZ60/W coming in third and fourth, respectively. Optoma rounded out this list with the EH515 in fifth place.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5? list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, NEC’s NP-M323X and NP-M283X came in first and third, respectively. Sony landed the number two spot with their VPL-HW45ES/B. BenQ took the fourth spot with the M5524A, and Epson rounded out the November list with the PowerLite 97H in fifth place.
Home Entertainment Projectors – This “Top 5? list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. In the Home Entertainment projector segment, the November results showed Optoma with a trio of top-selling models with the HD142X, the HD27, and the HD25DSE coming in first, third and fifth, respectively. Epson’s PowerLite Home Cinema 2040 took the second spot, and BenQ’s HT2050 rounded out the November list in the fourth spot.
