Planar has expanded its UltraRes L Series all-in-one LED platform with a 122-inch display model. This new size targets smaller and medium-sized conference rooms and classrooms. The 122-inch display features an increased color gamut and MicroLED technology, delivering more vibrant colors, deeper blacks, and better contrast. It features Full HD resolution and 800-nit brightness, offering three times more brightness with lower power consumption per unit. The release follows the introduction of a 109-inch model and enhanced MicroLED technology in June.
Planar has invested significantly in MicroLED R&D, focusing on die, pixel packaging, and module manufacturing technology. They offer products like the Planar DirectLight Ultra Series, which delivers superior black levels, high brightness, and energy efficiency, supported by features like the Planar ActivAlign system for perfect pixel alignment. To make MicroLED more accessible, Planar has reduced prices on several of their MicroLED video wall displays, aiming to provide lower prices for customers while increasing margins for integrators.
The 109-inch, 122-inch, and 136-inch models enable quick assembly with two people and use a single 110V cable. The displays support easy maintenance with a pre-configured column LED design and can be integrated as fixed or mobile units.
Features of the UltraRes L Series include on-board processing, ultra-slim bezel, 24×7 reliability, integrated video and audio electronics, and 10-point IR touch technology. The platform supports multiple content layouts and comes with a five-year limited warranty.
