Pixelworks Inc. reported turnover for the third quarter of $17.1 million, which compares with $15.3 million in Q3 of last year, thanks to strong chip sales. The company recorded a net loss for the quarter of $2.3 million, while a year earlier Pixelworks posted a net profit of $1.5 million. In the nine month period from January to September, the company narrowed its net loss to $7.2 million from $8.8 million a year earlier, with turnover for the period increasing 38.2% year on year to $45.8 million from $33.1 million.
