Pegatron Technology reported sales in January of NT$118 billion ($), 3.3% higher than the previous month and 29% up on January 2014, thanks primarily to orders for Apple’s iPhone 6. Shipments of iPhone 6 smartphones are expected to be around 40 million units in the first quarter, the same level as Q4 of last year. However, analysts predict that the company’s sales could drop 20-30% in Q1 as Pegatron faces competition for Apple orders from Foxconn Electronics, Wistron and Compal Electronics.
