Panasonic TVs Going Big, Again

Panasonic made several significant moves at CES 2025 that marked a new direction for its TV strategy. The company introduced a new OLED (Z95B) and new MiniLED TV (W95B), as well as a special budget product, the W70B, aimed at the North American market.

The Panasonic Z95B series features the new four-stacked WOLED panesl from LG and ThermalFlow aerodynamic cooling system. It is powered by the upgraded HCX Pro AI Processor MK II and supports Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, Calman calibration, and ISFccc. Gaming specifications include AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, 144Hz refresh rate, True Game Mode, and ultra-low input lag. Sound capabilities include a redesigned 360-degree audio system with line-array, side, and up-firing speakers, a 30W woofer, and spatial sound processing, tuned by Technics engineers. Sizes available are 55″, 65″, and 77″.

The Panasonic W95B series is a MiniLED technology product with an improved double area control system, increased backlight zones, real-time color tuning, and Hybrid Tone Mapping. It also features the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II and supports Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, Calman calibration, and ISFccc. Gaming features include AMD FreeSync Premium, True Game Mode, 144Hz refresh rate, and low latency. Audio includes a 20W subwoofer and external subwoofer compatibility. Sizes available are 55″, 65″, 75″, and 85″.

Both series integrate Fire TV for content discovery, Alexa voice control, Apple AirPlay, and compatibility with Apple Home. Both also include Prime Video Calibrated Mode and support HDMI 2.1 capabilities.
