Panasonic says that its new Toughbook CF-LX3 is the lightest 14″ notebook available on the market today. Weighing 1.26kg, the product will run on battery for up to 14 hours. The battery will recharge in 3 hours and is replaceable.
As a Toughbook, the CF-LX3 is designed to withstand falls from a desk (around 0.75m). A magnesium alloy chassis is used to protect the internals.
Resolution is 1600 x 900. A variety of ports are featured on the Toughbook, to enable connections to modern and legacy peripherals. HDMI, VGA, mini-D-Sub, RJ45, USB 3.0 (x2) and USB 2.0 are all present. Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) runs on a Core i5 processor and is stored on a 250GB HDD.
