Panasonic Replaces LFV5 Series

Set to replace Panasonic’s current TH-55LFV5/LFV50 displays, the new TH-LFV6W/LFV60W are 55″ screens for bright public environments. They can also be used in rental and staging.

The standout feature of the new displays is their thin bezel: 3.5mm pixel-to-pixel. They can be operated 24/7 and feature an integrated failover/fallback function. Each unit has a multi-venue optimal image mode; integrators can choose the setting most appropriate for their installation.

Both products are identical, aside from their screen treatment – the LFV6W is anti-glare and LFV60W is anti-reflection – and brightness. The LFV6W has 500 cd/m² and the LFV60W has 700 cd/m².

IPS panels on both displays have 1920 x 1080 resolution; a 1,400:1 contrast ratio; 12ms response time; and 178° viewing angles. They will last approximately 60,000 hours.

HDMI (x2), DVI-D (in/out), component, mini-VGA, RS232, RJ45 and USB-A (with a USB media player) ports are featured. Daisy-chaining is supported through DVI.

Panasonic will release the LFV60W in December and the LFV6W in January. They will cost £3,870 ($5,855) (LFV60W) and £2,655 ($4,020) (LFV6W) ex VAT.
