Panasonic Automates Calibration

Four new models, with various wireless presentation options, have been added to Panasonic’s VW350 3LCD projector series.

The PT-VW355N, PT-VX425N, PT-VW350 and PT-VX420 are designed to be portable, measuring 352 x 279 x 98mm and weighing 3.3kg or 3.4kg. They feature Focus Assist, Wall Colour Correction and Screen Fitting functions to enable easy set-up. The former two models can accomplish all of this automatically, with their Easy Setting function.

Intel’s WiDi is featured on the PT-VW355N and PT-VX425N, enabling the connection of up to 10 devices simultaneously. These models also support the Miracast protocol. All projectors are compatible with Panasonic’s ET-UW100 Wi-Fi dongle.

The projectors all have picture-by- and picture-in-picture modes, as well as a 1.6x optical zoom. They are networkable and compatible with Crestron Connected, AMX DD and PJLink protocols. Throw ratio is 1.2 – 1.9:1, and images can be sized between 30″ and 300″.

All projectors use a 240W lamp, lasting 5,000 – 7,000 hours. They also share a 12,000:1 contrast ratio, +/-40° (vertical) and +/-30° (horizontal) keystone correction. HDMI, VGA (x2), composite, S-Video and RJ45 are featured on all models. The VW355N and VX425N also have USB-A and USB-B ports. All models have a 4W speaker.

The VW355N and VW350 have 1280 x 800 resolution and project at 4,000 lumens of brightness. The VX425N and VX420 have 1024 x 768 resolution and 4,500 lumens.
