Panasonic Announces New Additions to Industry’s Most Robust Portfolio of Professional Displays at InfoComm 2015

At InfoComm 2015, Panasonic, a leader in delivering professional displays and digital signage solutions, announced new products to its industry-leading lineup of professional displays, including the LF8P Series, LF8 Series and the LF80 Series.

In addition, Panasonic will be showcasing other leading professional display solutions, such as the TH-LFV70 video wall display and the large format 4K LQ70 Series at InfoComm 2015 (booth 1501).

“As the applications for professional displays continue to proliferate, there is no one standard display that can meet these growing customer needs,” said Art Rankin, Vice President, AV Technologies, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “These new additions to our portfolio offer integrators and their customers display technology that can match any application: from eye-catching retail digital signage to boardrooms and classrooms.”

At InfoComm 2015, attendees can explore the Panasonic suite of displays, including the:

  • LF8P Series: The new Panasonic LF8P Series of professional LCD displays includes the company’s all-new Android™ and HTML5-based Embedded Open Platform, allowing for easy porting of digital signage software to the displays and thus, eliminating the need for external media players. This software platform will create a fertile ecosystem for the development of third-party applications, specifically for digital signage, commercial enterprise and the classroom. The LF8P Series are available in 42″, 49″ and 55″ models, and offer high brightness with outstanding picture quality and eye-catching visibility. What’s more, customers can rest-assured that these displays are built for continuous 24/7 reliable operation. The LF8P Series with Embedded Open Platform will be available fall 2015.
  • LF8 / LF80 Series: Panasonic engineered both the LF8 and LF80 Series of professional displays with high picture quality and versatility for a variety of digital signage applications. The series comprises the premium high-brightness 700 cd/m2 LF80 (42?, 49?, 55?) and standard 500 cd/m2 LF8 (42?, 49?, 55?) full HD displays with LED backlight. Both series offer high reliability with continuous 24/7 operation and “Failover and Failback” Function, which allows for immediate switching to alternative input if the primary signal is interrupted. With a narrow 6.3 mm bezel, the LF8/LF80 Series offer seamless large-format images for stylish and user-friendly video walls or as stand-alone communication solutions. For easy operation and configuration, users can quickly “plug and play” content loaded on a USB memory device via the display’s USB Media Player. For those looking for increased installation efficiency and saved cabling costs, the LF80 Series offers DIGITAL LINK connectivity, based on HDBaseT™ technology, that reduces cost and complexity of installation by allowing transmission of HD video, audio and control commands through a single CAT5e cable. The LF8 Series and LF80 Series will be available in September 2015.
  • TH-LFV70 Video Wall Display: The Panasonic LFV70U Series professional-grade displays for video walls create a dramatic, low TCO multi-screen solution of massive imagery. With a 3.5mm bezel and up to 700cd/m² brightness, the 55” display creates nearly seamless, vivid images for a multitude of digital signage, public venue and command and control applications. The optional mount – TY-VK55LV1 – makes installation an easy task while the display’s “Failover and Failback” function maintains continuous signal distribution even when some inputs are accidentally disrupted. The LFV70U also includes DIGITAL LINK capability and is built for 24/7 operation.
  • LQ Series: Shipments began for Panasonic’s durable, professional 4K display models TH-98LQ70 and TH-84LQ70 in 2014, and the new models are being well received worldwide. Now, Panasonic is pleased to announce that models TH-98LQ70L and TH-84LQ70L, with no protective glass on the front screen, have also been developed and added to the product line. The LQ70/LQ70L series offers 4K (3840 x 2160 resolution) LED backlit LCD displays to produce stunningly sharp images in a streamlined form factor with the system expandability required for professional 4K applications. The 98” TH-98LQ70/70L and 84” TH-84LQ70/70L 4K displays are ideal for a number of growing 4K resolution B2B applications including broadcast production, control rooms, rental and staging and eye-catching digital signage. These displays include the company’s next generation of image enhancement technology which up-converts non-4K sources to a higher level of picture quality – transforming ordinary Full HD resolution and a variety of PC signals into breathtakingly vivid images. The displays also feature a reinforced frame for flexible install including tilt (up to 10 degrees with landscape setting) and support 4K content over DIGITAL LINK. The LQ70L Series is available now.
