Panasonic Announces Move Out of the UK Ahead of Brexit

panasonic

After 15 months of deliberation, Panasonic has announced it will move its European headquarters out of London to avoid potential corporation tax issues and difficulties moving people and products brought on by the UK’s impending exit from the European Union.

The company will begin using its new headquarters in Amsterdam on October 1st, a move that it says will affect a third of its staff but won’t disrupt operations.

Panasonic is the latest in a line of Japanese manufacturers planning to move their European bases out of the UK in the run-up to Brexit.
