Samsung has said that pre-orders for its new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones have reached record levels. 20 million orders had been placed by mobile operators at the end of the weekend following MWC: 15 million for the S6 and 5 million for the S6 Edge.
Sony has licensed Microvision’s PicoP laser beam scanning (LBS) pico projector technology. The company will pay an $8 million upfront license fee, as well as royalty payments. Microvision and Sony have been working together since April 2013.
