Samsung Eliminates Frame Tearing With AMD

A 32″ UltraHD monitor, supporting AMD’s Freesync technology, has been launched by Samsung. The U32E850R is designed as a productivity/gaming tool, with a large screen and AMD’s anti-tearing feature. Touch Taiwan: ITRI to Show Foldable AMOLED

Lee Cheng-Chung, deputy general director at Taiwan’s ITRI, has said that the organisation will show a 7″ foldable AMOLED display at Touch Taiwan 2015 (26th – 28th August). ITRI’s AMOLED display will have 1920 x 1080 resolution. The panel was described as a ‘5mm’ unit, which we assume refers to the bend radius.

Mobile Continues to Surpass Desktop in Workstation Market

According to IDC, certified mobile workstations continued to exhibit stronger growth than desktop workstations in Q2’15. While desktop unit shipments fell 3.7% YoY (to 641,580 units), mobile workstation shipments rose 5.4% (to 288,270 units).
