Over 4,000 New Displays Installed in New Deutsche Bahn Train Fleet

Earlier this week, Deutsche Bahn launched its new fleet of redesigned S-Bahn trains. Across the 238-strong fleet — which cost the company €300 million (($350.8 million) — 1,904 LCD displays have been installed in the ceiling and the same number of LED screens used for outward-facing window displays, according to Invidis which also reported that the first train ran in Munich this week.

476 LED matrix displays were installed in the front of each train, while the vehicles’ LED matrix strip displays have been replaced with new large area displays. More detailed information isn’t available at this time, including more in-depth technical specification or the brand of the displays used.
