The latest release of the OLED Shipment Report shows OLED panel revenues decreased 3% YoY in Q4’22 to $12.6B as a result of a 7% YoY shipment decline. TVs decreased 4% Y/Y in units and 12% in revenues. However, smartphones increased 3% YoY in units and in revenues.
DSCC is predicting OLED panel revenues will decline 24% YoY to $7.5B as a result of overall significant declines for OLED smartphones and TVs. Smartphones are expected to decline 21% YoY and TVs to decline 39% YoY as well as other categories declining by double-digits.
If you take in the last six months of data and projections, bake in the financials of companies in the last few weeks, and you wouldn’t be mistaken in assuming that we are not being pessimistic enough.
