The iPad Air 2 and retina-class iMac garnered the lion’s share of attention at Apple’s press event in mid-October, but there was another device introduced. The iPad Mini 3 is almost identical to the Mini 2 (Display Monitor Vol 20 No 41), so don’t feel bad if you missed it!
Probably the most significant change is the addition of a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Users can now unlock the tablet or make online purchases using their fingerprints. The camera software has also been upgraded, with a new burst mode on the front camera and slow motion video capture.
