A study by research firm MTM, sponsored by Ooyala and Vindicia, claims that Netflix’s share of the US OTT market will fall from 85% in 2014, to 50% in 2018. A range of new services, which are being launched this year and in 2016, will have a serious impact on Netflix’s performance. These services include Playstation Vue, Sling TV and HBO Now. The report also predicted a CAGR of 20% – 30% for the US OTT market, and revenues of $8 billion – $12 billion by 2018.
