A ComScore report on TV viewing habits in the US, shows that Netflix gets more viewing time than Amazon, Hulu and YouTube combined. The data shows Netflix holds a 40% share of total viewing hours of an OTT service whilst the main rivals only total 39%. YouTube takes second place with 18%, Hulu third with 14% and Amazon Video with 7%. The report showed that Netflix is the standard TV choice in 54% of US households.
Netflix’s main viewing hours are 8pm to 11pm, which is in line with what many would expect to be prime time viewing. The report also showed that people watch Netflix for an average of one hour and forty minutes a day per household.
