NEC Displays Chosen for New London Digital Advertising Network

Hello London, a media partnership between Transport for London (TfL) and Exterion Media, has announced the launch of DX3, a new £80 million ($106 million) digital advertising channel for London, with display technology provided by NEC Display Solutions.

From February 2018, 60 new NEC displays will be installed throughout the London Underground network, with Jaguar Land Rover, LG, Gillette, Tesco and EOS among the initial advertisers showing content on the new screens.

Each display on the network comprises of an NEC 14K lumen PH1400U projector inside a proprietary housing, projecting displays which are 4.5m x 2.4m in size, which will be located at fifteen different underground stations within Zone 1 and Zone 2, including Liverpool Street and Oxford Circus.

TfL has seen an increase in its advertising revenue, with more than £140 million ($186 million) generated last year, which will be invested back into London’s transport network.
