NEC Corporation posted a net profit in the third quarter of ¥10.3 billion ($87.6 million) on turnover of ¥677.2 billion ($5.7 billion), which compares with a net profit of ¥11.1 billion ($94.4 million) on turnover of ¥700.4 billion ($5.9 billion) in Q3 of the previous year. The company recorded a net profit in the first nine months of this year of ¥22.8 billion ($193.9 million) on turnover of ¥2 trillion ($16.8 billion), while for the same period of last year NEC reported a net loss of ¥15.1 billion ($128.4 million) on turnover of ¥2.1 trillion ($17.7 billion).
