The National Association of Broadcasters has said that there may be insufficient funds to switch US broadcasters to new frequencies. Congress allocated $1.75 billion for the change, but the NAB estimates that the move could cost $2.6 billion, if 95% of broadcasters switch – the companies would pay the extra. The FCC is seeking additional funds from Congress.
