Total September shipments from the Taiwanese small and medium panel makers we track were up 9.7% MoM but down 4.2% YoY to 100.31 million.
AU Optronics saw September sales of NT$27.44 billion ($882 million), down 103% MoM and 5.6% YoY. This brought quarterly turnover to NT$81.04 billion ($2.6 billion), up 8% QoQ but falling 7.3% YoY. Small and medium panel shipments for September were 13.07 million, dropping 6.3% MoM and 20% YoY. For the quarter, 42.56 million panels were shipped, down 6.1% QoQ and 9.1% YoY.
Chunghwa Picture Tubes recorded sales of NT$1.92 billion ($62 million) for September, dropping 14.5% MoM and 41.6% YoY. Small and medium panel shipments for the month were 30.45 million, a jump of 78% MoM and up 17.6% YoY.
HannStar Display posted turnover for the month of NT$1.15 billion ($37 million), down 13.1% MoM and 45.9% YoY. The company shipped 33.43 million small and medium panels, a decrease of 3.2% MoM and 4.1% YoY.
Innolux reported monthly revenue of NT$24.4 billion ($784 million), unchanged MoM but down 9.5% YoY. This resulted in sales of NT$73.9 billion ($2.4 billion) for the quarter, up 11.2% QoQ but dropping 7% YoY. September small and medium panel shipments numbered 22.36 million, falling 9.9% MoM and 15.8% YoY. Quarterly shipments were 74.6 million, up 9.3% QoQ.
