Mitsubishi Electric reported Q2 2016 net profit decreased by 15% YoY to JP¥ 46.6 billion ($385 million). Turnover remained almost flat at JP¥ 1 trillion ($8 billion). For the first six months of fiscal 2016, net profit decreased 5% YoY to touch JP¥ 93 billion ($769 million), in spite of a turnover increase of 5% YoY at JP¥ 2 trillion ($16 billion). The Electronic Devices and Home Appliances segments supported an increase in turnover and operating profit, as did the weaker yen.
