In an email to employees, Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, has outlined changes to the company’s senior management team, which includes the departure of Stephen Elop, Nokia’s former CEO. Nadella said he wanted to reorganise Microsoft’s engineering effort into three groups: Windows and Devices (WDG); Cloud and Enterprise (C+E); and Applications and Services Group (ASG). Terry Myerson will lead the new WDG team, Scott Guthrie will continue to lead the C+E group, and Qi Lu will continue to lead ASG. As a result of these changes, four executives, including Elop will leave Microsoft – Kirill Tatarinov, Eric Rudder and Mark Penn.
