Microsoft’s Team Xbox has signed an agreement to acquire game streaming service Beam. Beam, based in Seattle, enables live stream viewers to play along with the streamer. The streamer can use Beam’s own protocol to enable viewers to control certain aspects of the game, like selecting a weapon or building a quest.
Beam was only launched in January this year.
