Merck has begun construction on a new OLED materials production plant in Darmstadt, Germany. The 2,000m² facility, which will be the target of a €30 million investment, will start production of materials for displays and lighting by July 2016. The company has said that it wants to be the leading supplier of OLED materials by 2018.
