MediaTek Inc.announced FY16 Q4 consolidated revenue of NT$69 bn ($2.2 bn) with operating profit of NT$3.9 bn ($126 mn), resulting in an operating margin of 5.7%.
The FY16 Q4 revenue was down 12.4% from previous quarter’s figure mainly due to a seasonal decline in consumer electronics. However, it was up by 11.3% on a y-o-y basis due to increasing shipments in consumer electronics.
The FY16 annual revenues amounted to NT$276 bn ($8.8 mn), with an increase of 29.2% over previous year’s revenues. The operating profit of the year was NT$23 bn ($736 mn), resulting in an operating margin of 8.4%, was down 10.9% on a y-o-y basis.
