Consolidated revenues for MediaTek fell last month to a 12-month low of $547.2 million. Seasonal factors were given as the reason, as well as the strong US dollar.
According to market watchers, It is expected that revenues should start to register sequential growth this month.
For January and February combined, revenues were $1.14 billion, up around 2% compared to 2016.
For the first quarter of 2017, MediaTek expects to post a revenue drop of 14%-22% sequentially to between $1.73 billion and $1.9 billion. Shipments of its smartphone and tablet-use SoCs will also fall by a combined 105-115 million units.
