Fabless semiconductor company Mediatek Inc. saw Q2 net profits of TWD6.4 billion ($201.8 million), a drop of 49% from TWD12.5 billion ($397.1 million) in the same period last time, on revenue which fell 13% to TWD47.0 billion ($1.5 billion) from TWD54.1 billion ($1.7 billion). For the six months there were profits of TWD13.6 billion ($431.3 million), down 40% from TWD22.7 billion ($718.0 million), on turnover which slipped 6% to TWD94.6 billion ($3.0 billion) from TWD100.1 billion ($3.2 billion). The company remains cautious about the chip market in the second half of the year.
