Lumiere Displays Switched Off after Overcrowding

The Lumiere Festival, which ran in London for the first time this year, suffered from overcrowding and some installations had to be turned off. The ‘festival of lights’, with installations from more than 30 artists, was free to attend and ran over two days. Organisers asked people to attend on Sunday the 17th, rather than Saturday the 16th, due to the crowds.
